Did you notice that Crown Books Outlet store is closing?

Construction will begin by year end on Bay View Plaza, a new shopping center bounded by Clairemont Drive, Morena Boulevard, Denver Street, and Ingulf Street.  Everything now on the site, except the hotel, will be gone -- the car wash, the Jack in the Box, Crown Books, the billboard, everything. 

There will be three levels in the new Bay View Plaza complex.  The Morena Boulevard level will include parking and retail shops.  The Clairemont Drive level will include retail shops, restaurants, drug store and specialty market.  Third levels will have office space and 44 town home condominiums.  Completion is scheduled for early in 2008. 

The owner-developer is Burgener-Clark, LLC. CW Clark is the managing partner.  Jeff Rogers, Development Manager for CW Clark, spoke to the Morena Business Association at our March 28 meeting. He described the ambitious new project in some detail and answered a variety of questions from MBA members.  He assured members that the project would cause relatively little disruption of traffic and little, if any, noise at night.
