A Taste of Morena Showcases Morena Restaurants and Entertainment

The Morena Business Association invites you to sample the food and entertainment at foureen of the Morena district's favorite eating, drinking, and entertainment spots.

Kick off your summer in style by joining 500 adventurers for A Taste of Morena. This special promotional event will showcase local restaurants and entertainment venues throughout the Morena district to introduce guests to newly-opened restaurants and to tried-and-true area food and entertainment establishments. We are excited about the variety of food being planned, dishes that highlight many favorite menu items of the host restaurants. Here is a sneak peek at some of the restaurants and the dishes they will be serviing to their A Taste of Morena guests:

• Baci Ristorante Italiano is serving a luscious pasta dish.
• Frankie the Bull's BBQ will sample their barbecue.
• Waters Fine Foods will be sampling their specialty cupcakes.
• New York Giant Pizza will serve their delicious Hand Tossed Pizza.
• Sardina’s Italian Restaurant will be sampling a rich Antipasti Salad with fried Zucchini and Sicilian Sangria for those over 21.
• Bay Park Fish Co. will offer succulent Seafood Appetizers and Chowders.
  
• Andre’s Patio Restaurant has created a delectable Chicken and Savory Rice dish.
  
• Tio Leos Mexican Restaurant will sample a tasty Black Bean Soup and Rolled Taco dish. Try a Morena Margarita.
  
• OffShore Tavern & Grill will dish out specialty Beef & Chicken Kabobs and a macaroni and cheese dish.
  
• The High Dive will offer a miniature beef slider with delicious wedge salad treat.
  
• Catalina Offshore Products will tempt you with mouth-watering Fresh Seafood, fish tacos and scallops.
  
• J.V.’s Mexican Food will feature their burritos.
  
• Plaza Donuts will serve decadent sweet treats.
  
• Brick By Brick will offer Taste of Morena guests a special drink and music and drink specials until 11 pm.

Most Taste of Morena locations will have DRINK SPECIALS and return visit coupons.

A Taste Of Morena will take place on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009 from 5 pm-9 pm. Tickets are $15. Only 500 tickets are available.

Free shuttle buses will run from Ingulf Street to Linda Vista Road from 5 pm to 9:30 pm, making stops at each Taste of Morena location.

This will be a great event for your family, friends, and clients! At only $15 per ticket, it’s a great deal, too!  At last year's Taste of Morena event, we had 500 food tickets, and they sold out fast. Get your tickets early, before they are all gone. All proceeds from A Taste of Morena ticket sales are being used to promote the event. Look and listen for our posters and signs, radio advertising, print advertising in local newspapers, interviews on local TV news shows, notices on various Web sites, and direct mail.
